Man Admits To Police He Killed Girlfriend
A South Carolina man in jail for a shooting in Gatlinburg has admitted to police that he killed his girlfriend. Deputies were called to a cabin on Caney Creek Road just off the Gatlinburg Spur on Saturday. Deputies found of Shelby Lynn Booth inside that cabin dead from a gunshot wound. 21 year old Julian Popoca has told police that he shot Booth several times during a verbal argument. Police found a handgun in a holster on a bedside table. The caliber of that handgun matched the caliber of bullet used to kill Shelby Booth. Popcoa has been charged with second degree murder. Both he and Booth were from South Carolina.
