Newport PD Hiring

Newport Police Department looking for a new officer. Friday, the Newport Civil Service Board began taking applications for police officer. Applicants must be:21 years of age, provide copies of their high school diploma or equivalent, a valid TN Driver’s License, a copy of discharge if a military veteran….and provide a copy of their birth certificate. Applications are available for pickup during business hours at the Newport Police Department on East Main Street or you can print an application from the departments website. Completed applications need to be turned in by no later than 4:30pm on Friday September 3rd.
