Parents Arrested After Child Test Positive For Drugs

The mother and father of a 2 year old boy have been arrested in Sevier County after the boy tested positive for drugs. The Department of Children’s Services called Sevierville police after a 2 year old boy tested positive for both THC and meth. The boy has an 11 month old brother but DCS said the child did not have enough hair to test for drugs…but they suspect he has been exposed to drugs as well. Sevierville PD has arrested the mother, 24 year old Kayleigh Peterman of Sevierville and the father, 29 year old Adam Pierce of Pigeon Forge. Both individuals are being held on a $100,000 bond each. DCS has started an investigation concerning the two boys back in November after being notified about possible neglect and child abuse.
