Deputies Respond To Domestic Assault
Cocke County police were called out to a residence on Judds Lane. A child had called 911 to report two adults fighting and a woman was bleeding. When police arrived they found a white Chevy SUV was attempting to back out of the driveway. Deputies pulled in behind the SUV to keep it from leaving. A man got out of the SUV and was immediately ordered to the ground where he was detained. That man was 52 year old David Bryant. A female in the passenger seat was bleeding above the eye and was removed from the vehicle. She was Lacrisha Gibson who lived at that address. She told deputies that she and Bryant had gotten into a verbal confrontation in the Fox & Hounds parking lot. As they left the restaurant with her driving, Bryant hit her in the face with his fists. She pulled over into Evans Towing lot where Bryant assaulted her again. However a witness at the home on Judds Lane told deputies that all the events had taken place in her driveway and that she had witnessed Bryant strike Gibson. David Bryant was placed under arrest for domestic assault.
