Road Rage Incident Leads To Arrest
A case of road rage led to a man being arrested in Morristown over the weekend. Norma Alverado told police that she was driving her Ford F-150 pickup and had stopped at Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen on Morris Blvd. She stated she had an encounter with 45 year old Tilman Goins who was driving a Toyota Prius. She stated that Goins began following her and that she could see in her rearview mirror what looked like a gun that Goins was pointing at her truck. Tilman Goins told police that Alverado had cut him off and that he had yelled at her but stated he pulled out of the Popeye’s parking lot to go somewhere else for food and did not follow Alverardo. However a search of Goins’ car turned up a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun with 15 rounds, but not one chambered. Goins was interviewed by detectives and afterwards was charged with aggravated assault.
