Sevier County Supports Gatlinburg Police Officer
Tuesday night law enforcement agencies and first responders came out with friends and family to Smokies stadium in Kodak, for a softball tournament and fundraiser to help Gatlinburg police officer Robert Frederick and his family. You might remember Robert Frederick was the Gatlinburg officer whose house was destroyed by fire back in May taking the lives of his 18 year old daughter and his father-in-law.
Officer Frederick threw out the first pitch to start the tournament. Several agencies and organizations came out to play in the tournament…proceeds from raffle tickets and concessions went to the Frederick family. If you would like…you can still donate to the Frederick’s at any Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union location or on their website. The Credit Union has a benefit account set up for Officer Frederick and his family. Nearly $12,000 has been raised so far.
