Shoplifter Also Faces Drug Charges

A man shoplifting from Wal-Mart in Newport faces drug charges after being arrested over the weekend. 43 year old Timothy Moore was spotted trying to walk out of Wal-Mart without paying for a hat and a sweatshirt worth $41. When police searched him, they also found .5 grams of meth, a glass narcotics pipe, 2 used baggies containing white residue and a butane lighter. Moore was charged with theft plus possession of schedule II drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia
