Toddler Found In Swimming Pool Passes Away

Some tragic news to report. The Jefferson County toddler that was found in a swimming pool over a week ago, has now passed away. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office confirmed that 23 month old Karlee Rae Hulbert passed away Friday morning. On March 22, deputies were sent to a home in New Market about a child who had gone missing but was found in a swimming pool. Deputies arrived and took over CPR efforts that family members had begun. EMS then arrived and transported the child to Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The child was stabilized and then transported to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville where she passed away.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office says this case is under investigation.
