Two Wanted In North Carolina Captured In Morristown
Two people wanted in North Carolina in connection with the death of a missing teenager have been arrested in East Tennessee. Police in Halifax County North Carolina say that Jose Bautista, Makaleigh Amanda Vick, and Michael Proctor were wanted in connection with the death of 18 year old Amir Hinnant. That teen was reported missing on February 24 and his body was found on March 4 in a remote area near Enfield, North Carolina. Police there believe that Hinnant died in another location and his body disposed of in Halifax County.
A couple days later, police charged Bautista, Vick and Proctor in connection with Hinnant’s death. Proctor was captured, but Bautista and Vick fled to East Tennessee. On Friday, North Carolina authorities, US Marshals and the Morristown Police Department descended on a home on Old White Pine Road in Morristown and took Bautista and Vick into custody. All three individuals are charged with Concealment of Death regarding Amir Hinnant.
