Woman Arrested For Criminal Trespass…Refused To Leaved Residenced

A woman was arrested Monday in Newport for refusing to leave a residence. Jennifer Holt told police that she did not know 41 year old Jennifer Hall but had allowed her to stay at her residence for one day. When she asked Hall to leave, she refused. Hall claimed that the house was hers and told police that three or four people had told her the house was hers so she didn’t have to leave…Hall could not present any proof of ownership…and she appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Officer Paul Weber stated that there was a cut straw with white residue next to Hall along with vials of Narcan and several syringes. Hall stated that she would not leave till her phone was charged…but there was no power in that home to charge a phone. Hall was placed under arrest for criminal trespass…the other half of that cut straw was found on her when she was searched.
