Two Juveniles Charged After Crime Spree In Jefferson County
Two juveniles are in custody in Jefferson County after they went on a crime spree over the weekend, including stabbing a man.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, the juveniles started on Saturday when they burglarized the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Talbott. On Sunday, deputies were called back to the same area about a car jacking that had taken place. Deputies responded and found a victim suffering from stab wounds. That man was transported to the UT Medical Center in Knox and is reported to be in stable condition.
Deputies were still in the area when they observed the vehicle leaving a driveway of a nearby resident at which time deputies and officers with the White Pine Police Department stopped the vehicle on Roy Messer Hwy. That is when law enforcement learned that one of the juveniles had overdosed. That juvenile was transported to the Jefferson County Hospital where that individual was treated and released.
Both juveniles are now facing numerous charges: Aggravated Assault ,Car Jacking, Aggravated Robbery, Vandalism over a 1000, Burglary, Theft over 1000, Simple Possession of Schedule II and Drug Paraphernalia. Both juveniles are being held in Knox County at the Richard Bean Juvenile Detention Facility.
