2 Year Old Shot In Talbott

Wednesday morning, Jefferson County police were notified about a shooting via 911. When deputies arrived they found a 2 year old boy had been shot in Talbott. That child was transported to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville to undergo surgery and was listed in critical condition. A preliminary investigation revealed that the 2 year old was handling the handgun when he was shot. The events leading up to that shooting are still under investigation. The 2 year old boy is recovering at the UTR Medical Center and is still listed in critical condition. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office says no charges have been filed in that shooting yet.
