“30-Minutes-or-Less ER Service Pledge,”
Newport Medical Center is taking steps to make emergency care faster and more efficient for local patients.
The hospital has announced a new “30-Minutes-or-Less ER Service Pledge,” promising that every patient will be initially seen by a medical provider within thirty minutes of checking in at the emergency room.
Hospital CEO Scott Williams says emergency medicine is about compassion, skilled care, and speed—and this pledge reinforces the hospital’s commitment to timely, quality service.
Dr. Heath Trent, the ER Medical Director, says most patients are already being seen within that timeframe, with an average ER wait time of just twenty minutes so far this year.
The new service pledge officially begins Wednesday, October 22nd, and underscores Tennova Healthcare’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the people of Newport and surrounding communities.
