3rd Annual Scarecrow’s Across Cocke County Contest

If you have walked into Wal-Mart or Lowe’s recently, you know that Halloween is less than 8 weeks away. Another sign of Halloween being on the way…scarecrows will soon be popping up all over Cocke County. The Cocke County Partnership Chamber of Commerce has announced their 3rd Annual Scarecrow’s across Cocke County contest. They are looking for business and residential contestants to participate this year. The grand prize will be 4 complimentary tickets to Anakeesta Park courtesy of Anakeesta. There will also be 2nd & 3rd prize awarded as well. The Partnership says they are looking for creative displays…and there is no limit on how crazy you can be…just make sure your scarecrow does not get arrested for indecency as your display needs to be family friendly. Event is open to all Cocke County businesses, organizations, and residents. Register and submit photos by September 29th to be eligible for contest. Display will e voted on from October 1st to October 31st with Scarecrow Voting taking place on the Cocke County Partnership Facebook page.
