Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

Cocke County deputies were dispatched out to a home on Rhodes Road in Bybee yesterday evening. David Estes told deputies that Joshua Caldwell showed up at his residence looking for his stolen medication. Estes informed Caldwell that he did not know anything about stolen medication and during a verbal exchange…Caldwell pulled a handgun from his waistband…however, Cocke County deputies were pulling in at that time and Caldwell ran towards some woods…tossing an object as he fled. Deputies were able to catch Caldwell, he was transported to the Cocke County Jail and has been charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
