Cocke County Sheriff Respond To Bullet Fired Into House
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office responded to a call about a bullet being fired into a house last week. The homeowners say they were awakened around 4 am Wednesday morning by what sounded like a gunshot. It was not until a day later, they noticed how close that gunshot was. They found a hole through the back side of their residence on Stonebrook Drive. The bullet had taken a downward trajectory through the side of the house, and then into the headboard of their bed. The bullet getting lodged in the headboard’s fabric. A deputy was able to retrieve the bullet from the headboard and take it into evidence. The person responsible for that bullet has not been found at this time.
