Truck Drives Into Corner Of Waffle House

People that were having lunch at the Waffle House in Newport were surprised when a truck drove through a corner of the building. It happened around 12:20pm Thursday. Newport police say that a man was driving a Dodge Ram pickup on Cosby Highway when witnesses say he suddenly veered off the road and struck the corner of the Waffle House. Newport Fire personnel were on scene rendering first aid to the driver of the truck, who was identified as 26 year old Michael Orr. First responders believe that Orr had suffered a seizure, which caused him to lose control of his truck. Orr was then flown to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
