Flags To Fly At Full Staff In TN For Inauguration
Flags in the state of Tennessee hasve been flying at half staff for the last couple of weeks after the death of former president Jimmy Carter, who died on December 29 at the age of 100. Normally, the flags fly at half staff for 30 days after the death of a former president. But, next Monday, flags will be back at full staff in Tennessee. Governor Bill Lee has ordered that flags at the state capitol and all state buildings be flown at full staff from noon (EST) on Monday January 20 to sunrise on Tuesday January 21, this is in honor of Inauguration Day, as Donald Trump returns to the country’s highest office.
At sunrise on January 21, flags will return to half-staff and remain that way till Wednesday, January 29.
