Two Teens Dead In Nashville Area School Shooting
Two teenagers are dead after a school shooting at a Nashville area school. The shooting happened Wednesday in the cafeteria of Antioch High School, which is on Nashville’s southeast side. The shooter has been identified as 17 year old Solomon Henderson. 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante was killed in the shooting. Henderson then turned the gun on himself and fatally shot himself in the head. A 17 year old boy was grazed by a bullet but was treated and released at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Police are investigating trying to find a motive. Numerous postings by the shooter were found online. Among those posts was one about having to speed up his plan, as his plan was to carry out the shooting on Thursday and that he planned to kill at least 10 people. There was also a post from Wednesday morning stating “Today seems like a good day to die.” The shooter evidently also livestreamed the event. Investigators say so far they have found no connection between the shooter and the victim.
