NU Warns Of Pipe Inspection Scam

Newport Utilities is warning their customers about a scam. The utility says they have had several reports of an individual showing up at customer’s homes saying they are from Newport Utilities and are there to inspect the home’s pipes. Newport Utilities says they do not currently have nay employees or contractors conducting any pipe inspections at homes. Should you encounter this individual, do not a;;pw them to enter your home. Instead you should contact law enforcement and report the incident to them.
