Morristown Horses
Here’s something you may find soon in Morristown…horses. Jason Messer had petitioned the city of Morristown to change the zoning of his property from residential to agricultural so he could have horses on his property within the city limits. The city balked at that idea as they did not want to change just his 6.6 acre property to agricultural without any other properties with that distinction around his area. So, the city of Morristown came up with a compromise…allowing people within the city to have horses on their property. The Morristown Planning Commission told Messer they would come back with recommendations about that move within a few months…Messer then dropped his rezoning request.
