THP Still Investigating I-40 Crash

Investigators with the state highway patrol are still investigating that crash on Interstate 40 that closed down the westbound lanes of the interstate for several hours yesterday morning. Traffic was backed up at one time past the 407 exit at Kodak…about 10 miles. The crash happened yesterday morning at around 5:30 and police say that a silver Volkswagen Jetta collided with a motorcycle…sending the man on the motorcycle off of his bike and into traffic where he was struck by numerous other vehicles. He died at the scene. As of this morning, his name has not been released. The interstate opened back up around 9:30 yesterday morning.
