He Said, She Said Incident

Newport police responded to what turned out to be a he said she said in the Newport City park area. A patrolman was approached by Chris Rogers who told the officer that he had taken his ex-girlfriend Montana Boyer to run several errands and she would not get out of his truck. When they arrived at the vehicle the passenger door was open with no one inside. At the same time a call came in about a woman on Touchdown Way claiming to have been assaulted. The woman turned out to be Montana Boyer who claims that Rogers assaulted her injuring her hand. She also claimed that Rogers had been doing meth all day and stole $100 from her. There was no sign of injury on Boyd and Rogers did not appear to have taken any narcotics, nor was there evidence of narcotics in his truck. Boyer was transported to the Newport Medical Center and Rogers was sent to his residence…no charges were filed against either party.
