Juneteenth Openings And Closings

The US Congress passed that legislation making Juneteenth a national holiday on June 19th…President Biden signed that into law yesterday. That has sent many federal state and local offices scrambling to figure out if they would be open today. There had been some misinformation about the post office. The postal Serice released a statement yesterday that said in part that to stop the postal service on such a short notice would be a disservice to customers so they would be open today and tomorrow operating on a regular schedule.

Cocke County offices are operating normally as well…We do know that TVA offices are closed today. Most local banks are open today, but we advise you call your local bank just in case.
