New Visitor Restrictions At UT Medical Center
If you have someone that is being treated at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, that facility had instituted new visitor policies that you should be aware of. Patients that are in inpatient care are allowed to have one visitor over the age of 16 during their stay in the hospital. The same goes for patients receiving care for outpatient procedures, day surgery, ambulatory care and in a physician’s office. Some patients, with positive or pending COVID-19 test results, may not be allowed to have a visitor at all. Visitors need to check in and check out upon arrival and departure and once in the facility…visitors must be able to navigate the medical center by themselves and visitors are not allowed to wait in the lobby for any reason. These restrictions on visitors at the UT Medical Center were put in effect on Thursday.
