Morristown Police Respond to Man Banging On Doors

Wednesday night police in Morristown were called to Shields Drive about a man running up and down the street screaming and banging on residents doors. Police spoke with a witness that stated the suspect was running down the street screaming for help and banging on doors of homes. Officers soon learned that the suspect had made entry into a storage room adjacent to a home on that street…and the suspect had barricaded himself in the room. After numerous verbal commands by police, the suspect – 41 year old Joe Davis – came out of the room. He was arrested and taken into custody charged with burglary and vandalism.
