Sevier County Wildfire Update

An update on those two wildfires burning in Sevier County. Both fires are still burning this morning. The Hatcher Mountain Wildfire has consumed around 2500 acres with over 300 structures destroyed. That fire is now 98% contained. Donations for fire victims are being accepted at the Sevier County Fairgrounds from 9-5 this week through Friday then Saturday from 1-5. Over 200 carloads of donations came through over the weekend. Clothes, food and toiletries are all available for fire victims.

The Millstone Gap fire burning near the Sevier Blount County line around Seymour is now 60% contained and has covered 650 acres. That fire has affected one structure.
