Lane Closures Coming On The Spur

Great Smoky Mountains National Park maintenance crews will be implementing temporary, single-lane closures along the north and southbound Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, beginning Monday, April 11 and continuing through Thursday, April 21. The lane closures are necessary for routine maintenance operations along the road shoulders including litter pickup, removal of downed trees and rock debris, and mowing. The single-lane closures will be in effect for both the week of April 11th as well as the week of April 18th. These closures will happen Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each day. The park says motorists should anticipate traffic delays and are asked to reduce speeds and use extra caution when going through those areas where crews are working.
