Judge Issues No Ruling In Boswell Case Motion
The woman who is accused of killing her 15 month old child and then hiding the body was in court again yesterday. Megan Boswell was back in Sullivan County court Thursday. A judge was hearing pre-trial arguments. Both the defense and prosecution spoke with the judge about a jury questionaire being sent out to potential jurors to gauge how publicity about that case could affect a jury pool. The judge wants to see the results of that questionaire before deciding whether a change of venue is warranted. The other issue was the defense wanting to split Boswell’s case into two seperate trials. One for the murder related charges and another for her false reporting charges. The prosecution argues that one trial presents a more full picture of that case. The judge did not make a ruling on the defense’s motion yesterday.
Megan Boswell’s trial for killing 15 month old Evelyn Boswell and then hiding the body is set to begin September 26th.
