Wholesale Furniture Outlet Victim Of Break-in

Police were dispatched to Wholesale Furniture Outlet in the Five Rivers Plaza in Newport Tuesday morning. Andrew Gossard told officers that someone had broken into the business overnight and stolen money from the cash drawer. Store surveillance video showed that at 12:48 am, a subject pried open the rear roll up door of the building. Eight minutes later another camera showed a white male suspect opening the cash drawer, taking the money out and placing it in his pockets…$1700 was taken. By 12:58am the suspect had left the store. Video footage showed the white male subject to be of slender build wearing gloves, blue jeans and a blue & grey checkered hoodie or coat…he also wore plastic grocery bags on his shoes. Police are trying to identify that suspect.
