Carson Springs Woman Arrested For Damaging Motorcycles

Cocke County deputies had their hands full with a call over the weekend on Carson Springs Road. Three individuals renting a home and visiting from South Carolina called police saying that a woman next door…Cindy Ellison of Newport was doing donuts on an ATV and spraying gravel from her driveway onto the neighboring driveway where Harley Davidson motorcycles belonging to the three people from South Carolina were parked. Sammy & Tina Richardson and Timothy Johnson of South Carolina say when they confronted the woman to stop, her son Hunter Ellison threatened to shoot them with a shotgun. When deputies spoke with Cindy Ellison, she stated she could do whatever she wanted on her own property. Deputies advised her that her actions were damaging other people’s property. Deputies arrested 21 year old Hunter Ellison for aggravated assault for threatening the individuals from South Carolina. 40 year old Cindy Ellison refused to come out of her home…deputies finally had to force entry into the home. Cindy Ellison was then taken into custody for vandalism over $500 and resisting arrest. Damage to the Harley Davidson motorcycles was estimated to be $6500 total.
