Sevier County Woman Killed By Own Dog

A Sevier County woman is dead after being attacked by her own dog. According to the Sevier County sheriff’s department, officer responded to a home in Seymour where they found 70 year old Debbie Boyd dead from dog bites. Officers located two Rottweiler dogs in the fenced in back yard. According to sheriff Ron Seals, deputies were able to determine that the dogs were in the home at the time of the attack…along with the victim and a small child. Boyd’s body was sent to the Knoxville Forensics Center for an autopsy. Animal Control took possession of the two dogs and they will remain at their facility till the investigation into the attack is finished.
