Morristown Woman Destroys Evidence In Drug Stop

Morristown police spotted a woman driving without any tag lights. When they went to make a stop, she fled. Eventually she did stop, but police noticed she had been throwing pills out the window of her car. 39 year old Brandi Houchins of Morristown was found to have 30 Gabapentin pills in her possession but had thrown a significant amount out the window while police were in pursuit. Officers also found a bag with meth residue in it. The bag was wet as if Houchins had either dumped or ate the meth. Inside her car they found a cup with a drink in it that Houchins had dumped approx.. 30 pills into, destroying that evidence. Police believe she had enough meth and pills on her originally, that she was intending to sell the narcotics. Houchins was jailed on charges of sale and delivery of schedule V narcotics, plus possession of meth and tampering with or destroying evidence…all felony violations.
