Man Arrested For Outstanding Burglary Warrant

Police were dispatched Monday night to Knowles market in Newport about a suspicious man outside the business after hours. Upon arrival police found the male subject wearing all black. He was sweating and stated that he was having a panic attack but refused EMS treatment. Upon checking the man, identified as 36 year old Bryan Thompson for warrants it showed that he had an automobile, out for his arrest…that had ben issued on May 8th of this year by the Cocke County Sheriff’s Department. Thompson was then taken into custody on that warranty.
