No Injuries In White Pine Train Crash
No one was injured Thursday morning after a car was struck by a train in White Pine. According to the White Pine police department, a car tried to cross the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks on Main Street near Maple Street around 6 a.m. Thursday. The car was then struck in the back right by a Norfolk Southern train. That particular crossing in downtown White Pine does not have crossing arms but does have lights and bells. The crash is under investigation, but a preliminary investigation has concluded the car’s driver was at fault and charges could be pending against the driver. Once again, no one was hurt in that train crash Thursday morning in White Pine.
