One Vehicle Stolen, Another Damaged At Volunteer Speedway

One vehicle was stolen and another damaged at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap over the weekend. A Kingsport man told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that he parked his 2004 dark green Chevrolet Silverado truck with a 16-foot open trailer in the Speedway parking lot while watching the race Sunday night. When he returned around 12:15 AM Monday morning, the truck and trailer were both gone. The man’s wallet and his friend’s wallet plus a firearm, an iPhone, and around $2,500 worth of tools were in that truck.

A man from White Pine told police that there was damage to his 2004 Chevy truck when thieves broke into the truck and damaged the steering column in an attempt to steal it. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating those incidents.
