Two Taken Into Custody Public Intoxication

Late Friday night Newport officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn on Cosby Hwy in Newport in reference to drugs found in a room. Employees told officers they found narcotics in room 111 and the guests in that room had been violating hotel policy by throwing their dog in the pool.. Hotel stated they were evicting the two individuals staying in that room and wanted police to notify the pair. Those two individuals, 54 year old Chris Brady and 52 year old Lisa Misenheimer were found in the back parking lot drinking beer. The two were informed they were being evicted and to gather their belongings. However, Brady & Misenheimer were so intoxicated neither could hardly stand up. There were both taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
