Also when putting up your Christmas tree this year, make sure that you place your tree at least 3 feet from any heat source like radiator heaters. 20% of fires invlolving Christmas trees are caused by trees being placed too close to a heat source. Also, make sure when putting lights on your tree or even on the house, make sure you read how many sets you can safely string together…and don’t link anymore strands together than what they are rated for. Experts say those tips can help put a freeze on holiday fires.
