Newport Police Looking For Black Jeep Cherokee

Newport police are looking for a black Jeep Cherokee that was involved in an accident Sunday evening. The accident happened on Clevenger Cut-Off Road near West Hwy 25/70. Karen Williamson of Newport told police that she was driving on Clevenger Cut-Off Road when a black Jeep Cherokee pulled into her path and the two vehicles collided. She says that four lack males jumped out of that car and asked her if she was calling 911. Those four male subjects then got back in their car and drove away. The Jeep Cherokee had a temporary tag. Both Williamson and her 13 year old passenger were complaining about pain but refused transport to the hospital.
