Date For Annual Emergency Responders Day Set

The date for the third annual Emergency Responder Day has been set in Cocke County. That date is Saturday September 9 from 10am-2pm. Once again this year, the event will be at the Cocke County Fairgrounds. Cocke County EMA Director Joe Esway says they expect a large turnout again this year. Response Agencies from the city of Newport, Cocke County and the state will be on hand to meet and educate the public on all they do to serve the community.

There will be fire trucks, police cruisers, ambulances and more for the public to get to look through. Food trucks will also be on hand as well.
