Be Kind
If you’ve driven down Morrell Springs Road lately, you might have noticed that folks living on that street are sending a simple yet powerful reminder for passersby thru the display of small, hand painted yard signs that simply read, BE KIND. After making some inquiries, I learned that the man behind the signs is Bunny Jarnigan. I had an opportunity to catch up with Mr. Jarnigan earlier this week, and it turns out that he’s just the delivery guy in our area, and the story of these little signs with a powerful reminder involves 2 young girls in LaGrange Kentucky. Raegan and Rylan Richins were inspired to create thesigns when they saw kindness signs in another county. Since launching this initiative in August of 2019, these sisters have hand painted over 5 thousand signs. Each sign is $10, and the funds raised through this project is donated to local charities in the name of their kind community.
