Sheriff’s Department Remembers Fallen Heroes

This week is National Police Week remembering those who gave their lives in the line of duty. Yesterday, the Cocke County Sheriff’s office placed a wreath on the courthouse lawn in memory of those fallen officers right here in Cocke County. A banner showing those who have given the ultimate sacrifice was also placed next to that wreath on the front lawn of the courthouse. The sheriff’s office requests that if you have pictures of those officers who are listed but not pictured, that you contact them so they can place their picture on the banner. The sheriff’s office said that they hope to have a live ceremony next year.
