Man Calls 911, Then Arrested
A man called 911 Saturday night saying he had been assaulted while in Michael’s Bar on Cosby Hwy. 50 year old Craig Turpin was found outside Michael’s Bar with a laceration to his forehead. He was also observed to be intoxicated. He told an officer that he had been minding his own business and was physically thrown out of the bar. Witnesses inside the bar stated that Turpin was becoming loud and disorderly inside the bar and then attempted to have a physical altercation with another patron. The witnesses stated that Turpin chest bumped the other man attempting to start a fight. Witnesses say the man defended himself by grabbing Turpin and throwing him outside the bar. Based on several witness accounts, Turpin was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
