Cocke County Education Foundation Scholarships Announced
On Monday, The Cocke County Education Foundation announced that the recipients for the 2021-22 school year. The CCEF has 33 scholarships they are awarding for high school graduates, plus 3 Jesse Denton Adult Scholarships, along with the 21 recurring scholarships they offer, the CCEF is awarding a total of 59 scholarships this year for a total value of $90,000.
With the scholarships awarded yesterday and the recurring scholarships, the CCEF has committed more than $184,000 in scholarships through the 2024-25 school year.
The Cocke County Education Foundation also announced the name of the Vision Source scholarship is being changed to the “Dr. C. Jeff Foster Memorial Scholarship”…paying tribute to the late Dr. Foster who was a huge supporter of the scholarships.
Also, The CCEF Scholarship this year will now become the “CCEF Larry Blazer Scholarship”…paying tribute to former Cocke County Director of schools and CCEGF founder Larry Blazer.

The 2021 CCEF Scholarship recipients were recognized along with their donors at the CCEF Scholars Reception on Monday, May 17 at Memorial Baptist Church.
