Another Shoplifting Attempt At Wal-Mart

Another person tried to shoplift several hundred dollars’ worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart in Newport. This happening Tuesday morning. An unknown male wearing an orange t-shirt attempted to walk out of the store, pushing a cart full of clothing and electronics. When the man was confronted, he left the cart and ran from the store. Wal-Mart loss prevention was able to get a tag number on a vehicle, but the tag came back as being not on file. Value of the merchandise nearly stolen…$531.
