Attempted Car Theft Unsuccessful

Vehicle thefts have been trending upward recently. Now, a man in Morristown is thankful his wasn’t stolen, but he is not happy with how would be thieves left it. 32 year old Robert Brooks told police that sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, someone broke into his vehicle and removed the dash from around the steering wheel in an attempt to start the car from the wires. The thief was not successful, but left the car a mess. Police processed the car but have no suspects at this time.
