Autopsy Report For Judge Sloan Released
The autopsy report has been released for Judge Duane Sloan. The well respected judge from the 4th Judicial District, which includes Cocke County, was killed back on August 25 when he was hit by a car in Jefferson County. The autopsy lists the judge’s cause of death as “multiple blunt trauma” consistent with an accident.
The toxicology report showed that Judge Sloan had a blood alcohol content of three times the legal limit at .256. The legal limit in Tennessee is .08. Amphetamine was also found in the judge’s system. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office stated in their original report that Judge Sloan had a flat tire on his car on Hwy 25/70 and was walking alongside the road around 1:20am when he was struck and killed by a car. The autopsy report stated there were no concerns of drug abuse or foul play in his death.
