Body Found Along Phillips Road

Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s department and the TBI are investigating the discovery of a body along Phillips Road in White Pine. The body was found just before 2pm Thursday afternoon. Phillips Road, which runs parallel to Interstate 81 between I-40 and exit 4 was closed for several hours while investigators were on scene. The road was reopened around 6pm. There are no further developments in that case at this time.
