Bond Now $500,000 For Soaky Mtn. Water Park Shooter
A bond hearing in Sevier County this week has led to bond being increased for the woman accused of shooting and killing another at Soaky Mountain Water Park last summer. Bond for Sarah Romine is now set at $500,000. The District Attorney’s office had requested the increase in bond citing that Romine was originally charged with second degree murder, but that charge was modified to first degree murder back in January. A judge agreed with the district attorney and increased Romine’s bond by $150,000. She is currently being held in the Sevier County Jail as she has not been able to post bond. Romine is accused of killing 24 year old Kelsy Cook in the parking lot of Soaky Mountain Water Park after the park closed the night of July 31st. Cook was airlifted to UT Medical Center where she later died. Romine is scheduled to appear in court again on April 26th
