Cabin Rental To Increase
Those who rent cabins in Sevier County are about to pay a little bit more to stay in a rental cabin. The reason for the increase, is trash generated from those who stay in those rental cabins. Sevier County currently has 11 convenience centers, but those can get filled up with trash quickly from all the rental cabins. So, the county has decided that from now on, those who clean rental cabins will now take the trash to one distinct location. Not only that, but those who drop off that trash from the rental cabins will now pay anywhere from a $10-$30 fee for dropping off trash. Rental cabin operators fear that this could lead to trash being dumped just anywhere because the rental cabin cleaner will wither not have time to go to a remote location to dump the trash, or they may not have the money on them to pay a fee. Either way, rental companies say that it is the tourist who rent the cabins that will pay for the county’s trash fees.
